Dave Brown is back again and crossing over his hilarious comic, PLANET JOEY, with mine! This time around Joey didn't play any tricks on Herb, like turning him into a Bubble Bear! Dave and I connected on Twitter a few years ago through, of all things, baseball! Despite being in Canada and living in close proximity to Toronto even, it turns out that Dave's a lifelong Padres fan, falling in love with the team as they were the only baseball team, and among the few sports franchises period, that featured brown as their main color! As a kid, I'm actually old enough to remember the end of the original brown era Padres, just before switching to blue. It was always quite the source of ridicule amongst other fans and even locals. So it was quite the surprise when they not only brought the brown back, but have since become one of baseball's most popular teams! Fate is a very curious thing sometimes. Well, enter Dave, a fellow cartoonist and Friars fan! We hit it off and have been hitting line drives ever since! In addition to comics and baseball, Dave is quite the thespian in his hometown! Gonna see if I can talk his theater troop into performing a stage adaptation of Santa Claus CONQUERS THE MARTIANS this year for Christmas! Thanks again for taking part Dave.
